Making the best of 3 days in Ticino

DAY 1

Morning :

Pistacchio Brioche

Walk along the Parco Ciani and enjoy a Brioche from Pane & Zucchero

Take the funiculare up Monte Bre

And enjoy the view of San Salvatore

Hike up to Monte Boglia

Enjoy a picnic with a view of Italy and Switzerland

Afternoon :

Go back down to the nice town of Brè, Paese

Hop on a bus back to Lugano

Evening :

Try out the pesto pasta or walnut and ricotta ravioli from Ristorante Commercianti

DAY 2

Morning :

Take the hour walk on the Santiero dell’ Olivo and enjoy a ride back to Lugano with the boat. I suggest taking the boat at 11:55 AM but here is the timetable.

Take a walk in Parco Ciani

DAY 3

Morning :

Pack a picnic and take a train to Tenero to then hop on a bus to Sonogno for a 2 hour trip worth the wait

Then hike from Sonogno to Lavertezzo and enjoy the beautiful views of Val Verzasca during this 3.5 hour walk

Afternoon :

Go back to Lugano taking the bus from Lavertezzo

Rent a motor boat for CHF40 for an hour and drive to Gandria and back. A variety of boats (and paddle boards!) can be rented on the Lugano riviera and some of them do not require a permit.
